Pluto Moon Charon

NASA has just released incredible enhanced color images of Pluto’s moon Charon, which are a composite of the red, blue, and infrared images taken by the New Horizon’s Ralph/Multispectral Visual Imaging Camera (MVIC) during its closest approach to the system. As you can see, Charon’s two hemispheres are wildly different, mainly due to the fact that ice erupts from below the dwarf moon’s surface.
