NASA researchers have built the first working Star Trek Tricorder, and it’s called the Scanadau Scout. This portable device can measure your heart rate, temperature, blood oxygen levels, respiratory rate, blood pressure, ECG and emotional stress – just like Spock’s handheld gadget. Simply place it on the user�s forehead and within ten seconds you’ll see the results sent direct to their smartphone after an array of sensors and a camera scan the patient via Bluetooth. Plus, it’s also capable of storing previous results meaning that patients can track changes in their vital signs.
