Finally, after years of concepts, and the still yet-to-be-released MAG, Nike’s HyperAdapt 1.0 trainers bring self-lacing shoes to life. “When you step in, your heel will hit a sensor and the system will automatically tighten. “Designed by Tinker Hatfield, the man behind much of the Air Jordan line, the shoe has soles that light up blue as you adjust the laces, something Hatfield said was inspired by the Pixar movie WALL-E. Three blue dots on the heel counter also illuminate, making the HyperAdapt look like something that dropped out of a UFO,” according to Stack.
