Dotemu revealed Ninja Gaiden Ragebound at The Game Awards 2024, and it’s set for release on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 / 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, as well as PC platforms during the Summer of 2025. This 2D side-scrolling action platformer channels the classic and modern Ninja Gaiden trilogies by Koei Tecmo games.
The game follows a new hero, Kenji Mozu, and picks up in Hayabusa Village after Ryu Hayabusa heads to America to avenge his father’s death, as told in the NES version of Ninja Gaiden. A tear between the human and demon worlds has opened a doorway to darkness in Hayabusa Village. Kenji must throw himself into battle to protect his village and its people from a looming demonic threat in this dark era.
