Nintendo is constantly discovering new ways to incorporate elements of its games into our daily lives. After turned the Alarmo alarm clock into a platforming adventure every morning, the business is now selling a small plastic flower with a mouth, and one that talks no less. This real-life Talking Flower draws inspiration from Super Mario Bros Wonder, where these joyful conversational flowers appear in stages and provide strange ideas and insights.
This compact flower has the exact same look and feel as the one in the game, down to the bright glossy face and bright green stem attached to a simple base. That’s all the actual features, as there’s only one button on the base. Press it, and the flower immediately spouts one of its numerous recorded lines. Press it a few times, and you might be lucky and receive a nice little phrase. Hold it down long enough, and it will give out a loud “Wonderrr!” before the game’s music begins playing. It even talks on its own approximately twice an hour, delivering casual remarks like they just popped into its little flower head.

These statements vary depending on the time of day, with mornings beginning with a pleasant “good morning,” and evenings focused on getting you to sleep. A built-in sensor allows the flower to detect if the space is warm or cold. It will even tell the time when you ask it to, or at predetermined periods. When the batteries are running low, it notifies you. There is no screen, microphone, or app; it operates entirely on its own.

The flower is pre-loaded with 11 languages, allowing users from all around the world to hear it in their preferred voice. English speakers experience the same wacky tone as Mario Wonder, which is entertaining but may be too relentless for some people. The flower remains silent at night unless you order it to do differently, which is excellent because you don’t want it to become an unwelcome nighttime companion.

Pre-orders are now available through the My Nintendo Store and in-person at Nintendo locations in New York and San Francisco, as well as a few additional retailers. The Talking Flower will be available on March 12th, 2026, and will cost $35.
