Radiohead In Rainbows Album Recreated Super Mario 64 Sounds
In Rainbows is Radiohead’s seventh studio album and it was self-released online on October 10, 2007. On4Word wanted to pay tribute, so the gamer recreated the entire album with Super Mario 64 sounds. As you’re about to hear, the tribute is so good that Johnny Greenwood, Radiohead’s composer and guitarist, even gave it a nod on Twitter earlier this week.

Just about anyone can use the Super Mario 64 soundfont for their own musical projects. After downloading the soundfont, you’ll need Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) software like FL Studio or Apple Logic Pro and then import the MIDI. Once that is completed, you’ll be able to remix and reinstrument just about any video game track, or in this case, recreate Radiohead’s In Rainbows album. More information here.
