Set for release on July 18, Nintendo World Championships NES Edition for the Switch brings the legendary speedrunning competition home. A special edition Deluxe Set includes a physical version of the game, 5 collectible pins, 13 art cards commemorating each of the featured NES classics, and a replica of the gold-colored NES Game Pak from 1990.
Players will be able to experience 150 speedrun challenges spanning 13 classic NES games. You’ll be able to best your own times in the single-player Speedrun Mode, while the Party Mode supports up to 8 players locally. That’s not all, Nintendo Switch Online members can also enter their best times in the World Championships Mode for a spot on the global leaderboard, which has five challenges rotating each week. The digital version of the game is priced at $29.99 USD, and the Deluxe Set will cost you $59.99.
