North Focals Smartglasses

Priced at $600+, North Focals may look like a pair of normal glasses at first, but they’re actually smartglasses that connect to your smartphone via Bluetooth and sports a small projector that beams data onto the lens. You can instantly check the weather, time, read text messages or even summon an Uber ride. Since they can also be connected to Alexa, a small speaker tells you directions or whatever information was requested. Read more for a video review and additional information.

“As far as comfort, the glasses are heavier than what I’m used to wearing, and even though they’re plastic frames, they have nose pads that can be uncomfortable. I found myself wanting to take them off to give my face a rest. The picture that the laser produces, which is 300 x 300 pixels, was clear enough for me to make out at home or in the office,” said Ashley Carman of The Verge.
