A few days after the 2025 IAA Mobility Show in Munich, Opel decided to slow down and unveil the Mokka Electric ‘Coffee’, a one-off version of their tiny crossover that turns every pit stop into a full blown coffee break.
When you open the tailgate, the boot reveals two coffee machines, one for fresh grinds and one for pods. Both are hidden in custom drawers with Opel logos, while a grinder is next to the beans. There’s also a milk frother, a knock box for cleaning up, along with a little fridge keeps the cream and beans cool. A coffee icon even appears in the infotainment menu, hinting at what’s waiting out back.

Power comes from the regular Mokka range’s electric drivetrain. A 54-kWh battery powers a 115-kW engine with 156 horsepower and 260 Nm of torque. According to WLTP that’s up to 403 km on a full charge, or around 250 miles depending on conditions and how hard you press the pedal. Energy consumption is 15.4 to 15.6 kWh/100 km, zero tailpipe emissions and an A rating.

Inside the cabin, you’ll find a 10-inch gauge cluster and a matching 10-inch touchscreen that’s like a smartphone home screen. Maps or music can be accessed by simply saying “Hey Opel” to enable voice commands. The technology receives over-the-air updates for navigation, learning from previous trips to predict where you might go next. With the optional connected navigation package, ChatGPT can also suggest scenic routes or local spots.
