Otherlab has just unveiled their new solar-electric Lightfoot scooter that was designed to transport cargo using its lockable, weatherproof 1.5 cubic foot storage locker located beneath the solar panels. It’s powered by two 750W brushless DC motors, connected to a 48-volt, 1.1kWh battery, that enable it to hit a top speed of just under 20mph.
A full charge is good for up to 37-miles of riding range, which can be accomplished by either regenerative braking or using the solar panels on each side of the scooter that can generate up to 120W of power when exposed to the Sun. Available January 2025, priced at $4,995 USD.
