Everybody Dance Now AI Deepfakes

Researchers from UC Berkley have created a new AI-based system, called “Everybody Dance Now,” that turns just about anyone into a professional dancer. How does it work? Well, first a video of the target is recorded, then a sub-program turns their movements into a wire frame, in which a source video is found and a stick figure made of their movements, and last, but not least, a neural network synthesizes a video of the target individual based on the stick figure movements of the source. Ferrari is no stranger to Monterey Car Week, but the debut of their new 488 Pista Spider was unexpected to say the least. Weighing in at 3036-pounds, this convertible is powered by a twin-turbo 3.9-liter V8 engine delivering 711 hp and 568 lb-ft of torque, helping it achieve a 0-62 mph time of just 2.85 seconds, and top out at 211 mph. New Sony Aibo Dog

For those who have always wanted Sony’s AIBO robotic dog, but didn’t manage to pick one up when they were discontinued in 2006, rejoice! The company announced today that their all-new version will be coming to the US, priced at $2,899, which includes three years of Sony’s AI Cloud service too. Unlike its predecessors, this model uses AI Cloud to send its daily activities back to Sony’s servers, shaping the robot’s personality as well as enabling owners stay connected to their device over Wi-Fi or LTE through AT&T.
