Ferrari is no stranger to Monterey Car Week, but the debut of their new 488 Pista Spider was unexpected to say the least. Weighing in at 3036-pounds, this convertible is powered by a twin-turbo 3.9-liter V8 engine delivering 711 hp and 568 lb-ft of torque, helping it achieve a 0-62 mph time of just 2.85 seconds, and top out at 211 mph. “Customers of the 488 Pista Spider will have the option of selecting one-piece carbon fiber wheels to help offset some of the vehicle’s weight gain. Less expensive diamond-finish 20-inch alloy wheels will also be offered. Like the 488 Pista coupe, the Spider sports numerous aerodynamic and styling changes from the regular 488 GTB. Chief among these modifications is a revised front fascia with a more prominent splitter and a hood sporting a massive air outlet,” according to Car Scoops.
