Omni Hoverboard

Since Omni Mark-1 has several patents pending, not much is known about this awesome propeller-based hoverboard, besides that it has already set a world record. That’s right, Canadian inventor Catalin Alexandru Duru’s invention managed to travel a total distance of 275.9m to achieve a new Guinness World Records title for “Farthest flight by a hoverboard.” He reached a height of 5-meters, covering a distance of over twice that of two full sized football pitches, before gently landing in Quebec’s Lake Ouareau. BB-8 Sphero

Sphero’s BB-8 Droid just might be the one you’re looking for, or at least a 4.5-inch tall, app-enabled companion that goes just about anywhere. Simply use your Bluetooth-enabled phone to guide the droid and make it respond to your voice commands. You can also have it send virtual holographic videos, or just let the droid roam free, which has an adaptive personality, learning as you interact with it. Using gyroscopic propulsion, it rolls freely while remaining balanced, mimicking the BB-8 from the movie trailer. If Imperial Stormtroopers spent their time off here on Earth, they’d probably be up to the same activities as other humans, like knitting. Photographer Jorge Perez Higuera captured a few of them shopping at a grocery store, washing dishes, paying bills, relaxing in a jacuzzi with a fancy cocktail, and even pumping gas. “They represent the galactic working class. Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo

The Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo is definitely a sight to behold, and it will be officially unveiled at the Frankfurt Motorshow later this month. Besides boasting a 1,400-plus-horsepower engine, it features the iconic ‘horse shoe’ front grille, ‘eight-eyed’ LED headlights, and the center fin, employed in two versions – one on the front and rear wings and the other running the length of the roof. “We wanted to develop a virtual race car for our fans which is a genuine Bugatti down to the last detail and radiates the unrestricted values of the brand,. ThrustSSC Break Sound Barrier

ThrustSSC is a jet-propelled car developed by Richard Noble, Glynne Bowsher, Ron Ayers and Jeremy Bliss. It holds the World Land Speed Record, set on October 15, 1997, when it achieved a speed of 1,228 km/h (763 mph), becoming the first car to officially break the sound barrier.
