Computer scientist and self-proclaimed hardware hacker Tom Tilley picked up a $5 Paw Patrol toy at a thrift shop, but it reminded him of the Super Hang-On arcade machine. So, he decided to turn the toy into a functional game controller, with the help of a Raspberry Pi Zero.

Even though Super Hang-On, released by SEGA in 1987, looks similar to the original, players can now choose from four different tracks to race, all of which are based on continents, with each containing a different number of stages. Plus, the controller can easily and quickly be reverted back to the original toy, just with an additional hole where the USB cable is being run through now.
