PizzaHQ in New Jersey wanted to build the “most innovative pizza operation” on the planet,” and to accomplish this, they turned to Picnic Works’ robot pizza machine. The restaurant employs several human pizza makers alongside Picnic’s automated station, thus eliminating bottlenecks from the traditional pizzeria while enhancing the appeal of the corporate chain.
Their robotic system can purportedly make 100 pizzas per hour with a single operator while reducing food waste by 80%. Picnic Works’ automated system will let PizzaHQ produce its own recipe while creating a consistent pizza every time, all without sacrificing quality. One of these robots may come in handy aboard the International Space Station for pizza parties.
