RCLifeOn 3D-Printed Twin Sculpture Statue
Simon Sörensen from Sweden, better known as RCLifeOn, wanted to take 3D-printing to the next level. So, he decided to use an industrial-grade Optimus P1 3D printer to create a life-sized identical twin of himself. Even with a heavy duty 3D printer, it took around 200 hours to fabricate the necessary pieces, while adhesive was used to join the various segments together before everything was sanded / primed to ready it for paint.

As you can see, the hardest part may not have been the printing or assembly, but rather the finishing touches. For this task, Simon hired a professional painter to ensure that the 3D-printed sculpture actually looked human instead of something you’d find in an art museum. To see just how realistic it looks, the 3D-printed twin was placed in the city center somewhere to see if people would donate money.
