Fans of “The Simpsons” will instantly recognize the name “Kwik-E-Mart,” as it’s the local convenience store in the show, but a real-life version has just opened in South Carolina at Broadway at the Beach in Myrtle Beach. It will eventually be the exit for a Simpsons 4-D movie, opening later this year at the local Aztec Theater, which will be themed after one of Springfield’s cinemas.
“At this Kwik-E-Mart, you can get Buzz Cola, Heat-Lamp Hot Dogs, Lard Lad Donuts, Squishees in a variety of flavors, Duff Beer, and Flaming Moe’s energy drinks, as well as Simpsons merchandise. This is the first permanent, real-life Kwik-E-Mart store. The Universal Studios theme parks in Florida and California both have Kwik-E-Mart storefronts, but they’re more like merch shops than actual convenience stores,” reports Yahoo News.
