Australian billionaire Clive Palmer has officially received approval to build a real-life Jurassic Park at Palmer’s Coolum resort on the Sunshine Coast. No, you won’t find any real dinosaurs at this theme park, but rather their animatronic equivalents, although some may be recreated to scale.
This approval was subject to 30 conditions, including noise and environmental concerns and on the proviso that all models would abide by various height restrictions of a maximum six meters, except for a Ruyangosaurus which will stand 10m (32-feet) tall. All that is missing is a Jurassic Park-inspired ride for guests to enjoy.
