What happens when you strap GoPro MAX action cameras onto wingsuit daredevils Fred Fugen, Aurélien Chatard and Vincent Cotte? These insane views of the Egyptian pyramids ensued after dropping them out of a helicopter thousands of feet above one of the seven wonders of the world.
Fred Fugen from France is actually a BASE jumper and wingsuit expert, enabling him as well as the other members of Soul Flyers, to make use of a special ‘resource’ technique. This allowed the trio gain altitude at the end of their drop, thus giving them approval from the Egyptian government to attempt this stunt. To ensure they captured all of the action, all three wore a 64GB microSD-equipped GoPro MAX with a 1,600mAh Enduro battery for extended recording time.

Until now, skydiving was only allowed above the pyramids at high altitudes. It has been absolutely amazing to get right next to these giant stones, some of the last wonders of the ancient world that are still visible today. I felt so small in front of such big monuments. I never even thought I would be able to make this flight one day. If this project has been possible, it is because flying techniques and materials have evolved a lot recently,” said Fugen.
