Inspired by the R5 Turbo 3E concept from 2022, the all-new Renault 5 Turbo 3E is unlike its predecessor, thanks in part to its two electric motors in the rear wheels that generate over 500 hp combined, enabling the EV to hit 62 mph in under 3.5 seconds.
This all-electric hot hatch is said to have a retro-futuristic design, with an eminently modern charging socket in one of the rear air intakes, bringing to mind the styling of the original ‘Turbo’. Its carbon fiber superstructure is both lightweight and extremely stiff, two qualities that are fundamental for a ‘pocket rocket’ worthy of its name as well as heritage. The 5 Turbo 3E is rumored to be a 2026 model, with pricing yet to be announced.
