Rolls-Royce Phantom VIII

The new Rolls-Royce Phantom VIII has just been revealed, and it can be optioned to cost $1-million or more. All models come outfitted with laserlight headlights, which boast an “expressive ring of daytime driving lights,” and can cast light over 600 meters (1,968 feet) down the road. Other features include: two 12.3-inch TFT displays, handcrafted wood trim, starlight headliner and a rear drinking package, complete with whisky glasses and a decanter. “Rolls-Royce says these changes make the Phantom approximately ten percent quieter than its predecessor at 62 mph (100 km/h). The company’s press team noted the sound levels are so low, engineers had to check their instruments to make sure they were calibrated correctly. Power is provided by an all-new twin-turbo 6.75-liter V12 engine that produces 563 hp (420 kW) and 663 lb-ft (900 Nm) of torque. It is connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission which uses “satellite aided” technology to ensure it’s always in the right gear,” according to Car Scoops.
