Samsung HDR10+ Gaming Standard Monitors QLED TVs
Samsung Electronics announced today that their future 4K / 8K TVs and gaming monitors will support the new HDR10+ Gaming standard, which is on par, if not even better than Dolby Vision. The company will showcase HDR10+ Gaming gameplay at CES 2022 early next month in Las Vegas, using various 4K and 8K game titles, all powered by NVIDIA GPUs. What sets HDR10+ Gaming apart from HDR10 and Dolby Vision? Well, this new standard enables automated HDR calibration that provides stunning picture quality to meet game developers’ demand, optimizing video game content in real-time. That’s not all, it’s capable of configuring compatible displays to “true reference mode” for better color and without requiring you to spend additional time with game settings.
