Sharp SF1 TV Built-in Super Famicom SNES Naizou
Long before Bowser’s Castle arrives at Super Nintendo World, there was the Sharp SF1, a television set with a built-in Super Famicom / SNES. It was only available only in Japan when released on December 5, 1990, the SF1 came in two different various, each with different screen sizes: a 21-inch and 14-inch.

Both variants were gray colored and featured a game cartridge slot right above the screen. Since the game console and television set was merged into a single device, there was no need for additional power cords or other cables. Thanks to the internally wired SFC-SF1 terminals, both luminance and chrominance signals can be separated, resulting in a much sharper image.

Unlike the standard Sharp television sets at the time, its remote had additional functions so that you were able to reset the Super Famicom console by simply pressing two buttons. Plus, the remote control could be used to record gameplay directly on the VCR. One caveat for both sets: they both only supported mono audio. Now the big question is probably how much these TVs cost back in 1990. Well, the 14-inch retailed for ¥100,000 ($1,591 USD in 2022) and the 21-inch set you back ¥140,000 ($2,226 in 2022).
