Skyline Robotics, developers of the Ozmo high-rise window-cleaning robot, announced this week that a $6.5M pre-Series A funding round has successfully been completed. The startup is preparing for its first customer deployment of Ozmo in New York City. This smart robot is unlike any human window washer, as it combines artificial intelligence, machine learning and computer vision with advanced robotics and sensors to offer a smarter, faster, safer, and more economical alternative. However, Skyline Robotics doesn’t plan on replacing humans altogether, but rather plans to create a working partnership between humans and robots. How will this partnership work? Well, humans control Ozmo from a safe distance, out of harm’s way, in a remote location if necessary, especially during the summer heat.
