Waydoo’s Subnado is touted as the world’s smallest portable underwater scooter, with a cylindrical body that measures just 38cm long and 6cm wide. At 3.1-pounds, this compact piece of diving equipment can be used in water to provide forward momentum for the user, enhacing swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving, as well as other water sports. When you’re finished using it, the device can fit in the water bottle pocket of most backpacks.
Traveling overseas? It’s fully carry-on luggage-approved and integrated with a 98Wh lithium-ion battery that can run for up to 56 minutes on a single charge. Thanks to its 100W-capable USB-C charging system, it can be fully charged in a mere 1.2-hours with a 100W PD fast charger. It has a maximum thrust of 6.5kg, good for a top speed of 3.1 mph, or attach two of them to reach 4.5 mph. A quick-release mounting system lets you attach various accessories, including action cameras. Subnado is set to hit Kickstarter next month, with pricing yet to be revealed.
