Solar physicists from the University of Sheffield have successfully captured and recorded solar music, which is created by “giant magnetic loops in the solar corona.” What you’ll hear after the break is the “musical sounds created by longitudinal vibrations within the Sun’s atmosphere.”
Magnetic coronal loops form a solar harmonica with temperature over a million degrees. The average length of these loops are a few 100,000 km.
