Spin Chill

Spin Chill is basically a nifty gadget that clips onto the top of a warm drink, placed in ice, and spins it, chilling your beverage 20 times faster than normal in 60-seconds or less. In addition to beer, you can use it to chill canned sodas, bottled beverages and even wine. Since the device is water resistant, you can just throw it in the cooler without having to keep an eye out. “Invented by Ty Parker and Trevor Abbott at this year’s AngelHack hackathon, the basic principles of Spin Chill have been known since access to ice became common. If you spin a can in a tub of ice, it cools faster, because in spinning the can you cause convection in the can, while at the same time considerably increasing the surface area of the can that is actually touching ice,” reports Gizmag.
