SpinLaunch Suborbital Accelerator Flight Test 10 NASA
SpinLaunch released a video of the tenth Suborbital Accelerator flight test from Spaceport America, New Mexico. This demonstrated to SpinLaunch partners’ that standard satellite components are inherently compatible with the company’s launch environment, while providing critical flight data, as all payloads were flown and recovered successfully.

SpinLaunch accelerated payloads from NASA, Airbus U.S., Cornell University, and Outpost up to 10,000G in the company’s 12-meter Lab Accelerator at its Long Beach headquarters during its pre-flight qualification process. All of the payloads were inspected post-spin and subsequently integrated into the Flight Test Vehicle in preparation for Flight Test #10. You don’t want to confuse this with the ORNL Frontier, the world’s first exascale supercomputer powered by AMD’s EPYC processors and Instinct accelerators.

Flight Test 10 represents a key inflection point for SpinLaunch, as we’ve opened the Suborbital Accelerator system externally for our customers, strategic partners, and research groups. The data and insights collected from flight tests will be invaluable for both SpinLaunch, as we further the development of the Orbital Launch system, and for our customers who are looking to us to provide them with low-cost, high-cadence, sustainable access to space,” said Jonathan Yaney, Founder & CEO of SpinLaunch.
