Steve Jobs unveiled the first MacBook Air 17-years-ago on January 15, 2008, and it was the world’s thinnest notebook for some time. Despite measuring just 0.16-inches at its thinnest point, the laptop still boasted a stunning 13.3-inch LED-backlit widescreen display.
In addition to the vibrant screen, the MacBook Air came equipped with a built-in iSight video camera for video conferencing, a 1.6 GHz or 1.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor with 4MB L2 cache, 2GB of memory, an 80GB 1.8-inch hard drive (64GB SSD optional), 802.11n Wi-Fi technology and Bluetooth 2.1. The laptop retailed for $1,799, which equates to about $2,621 today.
