Computer science student and developer Erik Roystan Ross has recreated the first level of Super Mario 64 – the “Bob-Omb Battlefield” stage – in Unity. All you need to play is Unity Web Player, or hou can also download desktop versions for Windows, Mac and Linux — it works with your keyboard or Xbox One, Xbox 360, DualShock 3 and DualShock 4 controllers. The entire game was built using Ross’s “Super Character Controller” program and offers graphics that are smoothed out and overhauled from the jagged edges present in the original Nintendo 64 version.
