They unveiled the V3R 900 E-Compressor Prototype at EICMA 2025 in Milan, an incredible machine which takes their signature V3 engine and teams it up with an electric compressor. This isn’t some far-fetched fantasy of the future; Honda engineers have been experimenting with the concept since last year’s show, wow everyone with a bare engine before revealing the finished product. Japanese Honda dealers sell the Civic Type R for around $40,000 at invoice, while Porsche starts the 718 Boxster at $53,000. On paper, the mid-engine roadster wins the prestige battle. Then Mugen releases its Group.B catalog. When all the options are added up, the Honda’s price is over $103,000 (including the Type R itself), almost double the base price of the Boxster and enough to buy a loaded GTS 4.0 with change to spare.

Honda just unveiled the Super-ONE Prototype at the Japan Mobility Show, a sleek little electric hatchback that can be both a city charmer and a weekend getaway vehicle. It all started with the Super EV Concept, which drew public notice at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in July. Now, with the camouflage stripped away and in the spotlight, the prototype showcases how Honda plans to bring this car to market next year. Unfortunately for the US, there’s been complete radio silence thus far, which stings even more when you’ve been patiently waiting for a compact plug-in since the Honda e vanished a few years ago.

A streamlined dream was created forty years ago, called the HP-X, when Honda teamed up with Pininfarina, resulting in one of the most renowned sports cars in history. After testing across European roads, Honda has released images of the bike in action and it’s clear they’re aiming to make riders feel connected.
