Snapchat has just introduced a new 3D selfie mode that enables iPhone X users and above to create Snaps that change in perspective as well as appearance based on how you move your phone. This mode relies on Apple’s TrueDepth camera system and works by combining image and depth data from the this system to reconstruct a 3D model that looks and feels like a miniature model of your face. Facebook is reportedly working on a standalone messaging app that combines the best of Instgram and Snapchat into one.
