Snap officially unveiled Spectacles 3 today, the latest version of their sunglasses, packed with dual HD cameras to empower creativity in 3D. They begin shipping during Fall 2019, and are capable of providing a rich 3D canvas for self-expression as well as a suite of new 3D Effects on Snapchat. This next-generation model comes equipped with two HD cameras to capture Snaps in 3D and also allow you to seamlessly transfer in HD to Memories within Snapchat for new lighting, landscapes, and other magical effects. Available in Carbon (monochromatic black with a semi-matte finish and high-gloss details) or Mineral (tone inspired by cosmetic hues with a hint-of-gold frame), Spectacles 3 boast a strong, lightweight steel frame with circular lenses and adjustable acetate tips. To start recording, simply tap either button for video (up to 60 seconds continuously) or press and hold for a still. Sound is recorded with high-fidelity audio from a 4-microphone array, while LED indicator lights notify people when you’re recording.
They come bundled with a charge on-the-go Charging Case, which can store up to four charges, and a full-grain leather case that folds flat when not in use as well as a standard certified USB-C charging cable. A 3D viewer lets you relive memories and bring Snaps to life. They ship this fall and are available to pre-order now for $380 at Spectacles.com.
