In case of zombie apocalypse, you’ll want to be driving the street-legal Terradyne Gurkha LAPV (Light Armored Protected Vehicle). At $385,000 USD, it’s quite pricey to say the least, but the Ford F-550 XL-based Gurkha is well worth the money if your main goal is security. It’s powered by a turbocharged 6.7L V8 diesel engine making 400 hp and 1,000 lb-ft of torque and has received a military spec coating by Phoenix Coatings for maximum protection.
Other upgrades include aftermarket wheels wrapped in run-flat tires, an Icon long-travel suspension, and a brand new sound system. Should you need protection from more than just the undead, its B7 armor plating should do the trick, as it can easily withstand a .308 armor-penetrating bullet fired at 20 yards, which bounces off with no visible damage.
