You’ve probably heard about this company for years, but now they’ve officially taken the wraps off their TF-X model, a street-legal, four-seat fixed wing aircraft. Its engine and electric power source are similar to an electric car, but in addition to wheels, there are fold-up wings. A built-in GPS will help drivers navigate both land and air, as well as assist with auto-landing when in inclement weather. The company so far has 100+ pre-orders for the craft, which is estimated to cost $279,000, without any options. This updated model features an improved hybrid engine system, making it faster, heavier and roomier, with rotor blades on each wing tip that assist take off / landing, while folding away during flight.
