Tesla CEO Elon Musk recently teamed up with Youtube tech star Marques Brownlee, better known as MKBHD, to give the internet an up-close look at what goes on behind-the-scenes at the company’s Fremont factory. He may not be the first, as owners, VIPs, and the media, often get to tour the grounds, but this is one of the first starring a social media star. “Musk did say that Model 3 production speed has now increased to ‘about 1 mph’, which is faster than the Model S and Model X line, which is where they were walking through during their tour. The CEO likes to use the speed at which a vehicle travels through the assembly as a metric to evaluate the progress of production,” reports Electrek.
