You’ve seen the square wheel bicycle, now check out The Q’s latest invention, a tape wrapping machine that will keep all of your cables organized. It may sound complex at first, but all it took was an old bicycle chain connected to a pair of motor-driven sprockets, mounted to a wooden frame.
A motor drives the smaller sprocket, while the larger one is linked to internal rollers, connected to a mount for rolls of tape. As the sprocket rotates, the tape can be used to wrap cables or anything else that you desire. There’s no specific use for this machine, although custom PC builders as well as automotive shops could most certainly make use of this invention. Unlike The Q’s other builds, this one appears to be much easier to replicate at home.
