Self-Balancing Wheelchair
There are self-balancing robots, hoverboards, and then Scewo, an innovative electric wheelchair capable of traversing stairs independently, offering users a dynamic experience for navigating over obstacles using multiple rubber tracks. You can select from three different modes: “safe” for getting on and off, “elevated” for eye-to-eye communication, and “track” for increased traction over obstacles.

The wheelchair’s sturdy rubber tracks offer a safe and comfortable transition up or down the stairs, while its extra-wide base can stabilize the chair, even on spiral staircases. Most importantly, transfers onto the stair and then back to the floor are fully automated. The self-balancing chair mechanism provides agile maneuvering on spot and dynamic driving also over common obstacles like curbs. Riders can either use the joystick or a shift in body weight to control the chair.
