Cheap Lens RED Camera

Ever wonder how footage would look if one were to use a cheap $54 Yongnuo 50mm f/1.8 lens – a clone of the Canon 50mm f/1.8 II – on a $12,500 Scarlet-W RED Dragon 5K camera? Probably not, that is unless you are a professional photographer, but this experiment is definitely an interesting one nonetheless. Los Angeles-based filmmaker Gene Nagata of Potato Jet shows us just that, and to be quite honest, the results are surprising to say the least. “I thought it performed pretty good. This lens costs less than to fill up my jeep with gas…This could potentially be the best $48 investment you could make to your camera arsenal,” said Nagata.
