Yes, even geeks like Matty Sallin, Daniel Bartolini, Hsiao-huh Hsu love bacon. To get their morning fix, they built the Wake n’Bacon. This alarm clock goes off 10-minutes early to cook a piece of frozen bacon that’s placed inside, and then rings once it’s ready.
2. Darth Vader Head
Mostly gone are the days of the classic radio alarm clock, thanks to gadgets like the iPhone, iPod Touch, but this Darth Vader head aims to turn back the clock. All the knobs, buttons, LED number digits, and even the tuner is cleverly integrated into the mask. It’s available now, priced at $30.
3. SNES
No geeky alarm clock list would be complete without at least one modded game console, and that’s where this SNES comes in. Created by Mavrinac, the time is displayed on a removable cartridge. It features a “a shrouded power connector (a proper 2-pronged one this time) and uses the expansion port for battery loading.”
