5. Evergreen’s USB Egg

Evergreen Japan introduces a new egg-shaped USB gadget. In addition to being a USB 2.0 hub, the device also sports 2W stereo speakers and a 3-in-1 memory card reader (SD/CF/Media Stick) . Pricing and availability have not yet been announced. [Source]

4. USB-Powered Butt Cooler

Here’s another strange Japanese gadget: the USB-powered butt cooler. This device also doubles as a seat cushion and works by blowing “cool air onto your arse via the onboard fan.” Product page here (Japanese).

The only downside I can see is if you let one go, the air cooler will blow it up right into your face

3. USB-Powered Shirt Fans

That’s right, these USB (or AA) powered shirts from Japan have built-in fans — 2 x 10cm — that supposedly “draw in a large amount of air which helps to vapourize thus dissipating sweat and bringing down the wearers body temprature”. Available now in Japan, no word yet on pricing. [Sources]

2. Self-Destruct USB Hub

This USB 2.0 hub by SolidAlliance features an “emergency button” that when pressed, makes “explosion” sounds — resembling a bomb — through its built-in speaker. Available now in Japan, priced at $45USD. [Source]
