Unreal Engine 4 The Legend of Zelda NES Remake Era of Decline
Another day, another The Legend of Zelda remake. This top-down prototype game comes from developer Lloyd Empty, and it’s officially called ‘The Legend of Zelda: Era of Decline”, powered by Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 4. It supports both keyboard and gamepad control, although we assume the latter is the preferred method for nostalgic purposes.

This remake keeps the original top-down gameplay mechanics, but adds all-new 3D models for Link as well as all of the enemies and environments. The original The Legend of Zelda was released in 1986 on the Famicom Disk System and then the Nintendo Entertainment System a little over a year later in the United States. There’s no word yet on when (or if) the remake will be available for download.
