Unveiled at the Caravan Salon trade fair in Düsseldorf, Germany, the all-new Volkswagen California Concept just might be the ultimate camper van. Most of its functions can be controlled using a new tablet-style control unit, the “Cali on Tour” mobile app or directly from the infotainment system
Featuring a sliding door on the kitchen side for extended use of the space around the vehicle, practical drawers under the front height-adjustable swivel seats on the inside, dimmable background lighting in the roof frame, a classic pop-up roof sporting USB-C sockets as well as LED lights, and an infotainment system that can be used to access an inclination display to level the camper van. There’s no word yet on if this concept will eventually makes its way to production.
