Thanks to a quad-turbocharged 13L diesel engine, mated to an I-Shift Dual Clutch transmission, Volvo’s “The Iron Knight” has claimed the title of “world’s fastest truck”. The 2,400-horsepower and 4,425 lb-ft of torque help it rocket from 0-62 mph in a mere 4.6-seconds, while topping out at 171.5 mph, which is quite impressive, considering the beast weighs 10,000-pounds. It set a new land speed record by completing the 500 meter sprint in just 13.71-seconds (81.6mph average speed) and the 1,000 meter in 21.29-seconds (109mph average speed).
