WikiTok Wikipedia Infinite Scroll Articles
When TikTok meets Wikipedia, you get WikiTok, or so we’d like to think. This is a web-based app that basically turns the social media app into an infinite scroll feed that lets you explore random Wikipedia articles in multiple languages.

A prototype was created by New York-based app developer named Isaac Gemal in under 2-hours using various AI tools such as Anthropic’s Claude and Cursor. The current version boasts support for 14 languages (English, Spanish, French, German, Chinese, Japanese, etc.), has article previews with images / titles / excerpts, and the ability to share articles directly or by copying the links. Try it out here or get the source code on Github.

I have had plenty of people message me and even make issues on my GitHub asking for some insane crazy WikiTok algorithm. And I had to put my foot down and say something along the lines that we’re already ruled by ruthless, opaque algorithms in our everyday life; why can’t we just have one little corner in the world without them?,” said Gemal to Ars.
