Finally, after months of speculation, concept drawings, and strange names, Microsoft has officially announced the Xbox One. It’s powered by an 8-core x86-based CPU, 8GB of DDR3 RAM, 500GB internal storage, a Blu-ray drive and boasts USB 3.0 connectivity. Unlike the 360, the Xbox One can be completely controlled with voice recognition and hand gestures. Plus, a new Instant Switching function enables users to literally ask Xbox One to ‘watch TV’, ‘open Internet Explorer’ or use it to change channels quickly without having to find the remote control. No word yet on official pricing or availability.
