Sure, some Adobe After Effects and Photoshop was used to create the mind-bending illusions, but for the most part, all of these 3D drawings were handcrafted by Visoth Kakvei from Cambodia, who has a following of 800,000 on Instagram. “He depicts abstract patterns, and imagery ranging from the Statue of Liberty to exotic animals like elephants, seahorses, and stags. He periodically posts zoomed in footage of the delicate line-drawing process, which can be just as mesmerizing as the drawings themselves. Whether in color or black-and-white, his mazelike textures never cease to stir the imagination,” reports Vice.
