After a long 35-year journey, NASA’s Voyager I left our solar system on August 25, 2012, clocking a total travel distance of over 12 billion miles. Voyager One will continue to transmit until the year 2020 and both One and Two are expected to deplete their nuclear fuel and power down around 2025.
