Taipei City is set to host the 2017 Summer Universiade, and what better way to promote the event, than by turning your metro trains into optical illusions. Subway cars running the Songshan-Xindian (Green) line received vinyl 3D stickers that resemble real-life swimming pools, soccer fields, running tracks, and basketball courts. “The Universiade is the second-largest international sporting event after the Olympics. Back in 2011, the International University Sports Federation voted overwhelmingly for Taipei to host the games, beating out Brasilia, the capital of Brazil. The Summer Universiade will run from August 19th to the 30th, and Taipei is expecting to see a huge boom in tourism during this time,” reports Bored Panda.
