The theme for the 2016 Met Gala was Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology, and sponsored by none other than Apple Inc. Zac Posen designed a dress for Clair Danes that definitely fit the part, as he the fiber optic wire was sourced from France. “The Met Gala is held annually for the benefit of the Metropolitan Museum Of Art’s Costume (Fashion) Institute in New York City, the only department that has to fund itself.
